Zlatan, Drogba make up Mourinho's greatest XI
Following Jose Mourinho's win in the English Football League Cup final at Wembely we take a look at the greatest players to ever play under the Portuguese.
The 54-year-old has coached the likes of Chelsea, Porto, Inter Milan and Real Madrid in his illustrious career.
His greatest team is however the treble winning Inter Milan team of 2010 who won all before them. That team provides members of his greatest ever XI.
Here is Jose Mourinho's greatest ever XI lined up in a 4 - 4 - 2:
GK: Petr Cech
Who else could have been first choice. Cech developed into the Premier league's best under Mourinho in his first tenure as Chelsea boss between 2004 and 2007. Beats off competition from Iker Casillas, Julio Ceaser and David De Gea.
RB: Maicon
Many would call for the inclusion of Sergio Ramos but Maicon deserves respect and inclusion for his two seasons under Mourinho between 2008 and 2010.
Was named UEFA defender of the year in 2010 when he helped Inter Milan win the treble.
CB: John Terry, Ricardo Carvalho
John Terry is undoubtely the best center-back Mourinho ever coached while Carvalho was his trusted lieutenant who followed tactical details to the end.
Carvalho played under Mourinho at Porto, Chelsea and Real Madrid.
LB: Marcelo
While Ashley Cole and Christian Chivu deserve mentions, Marcelo is undoubtedly the best left-back Mourinho has ever worked with for a consistent amount of time.
Defensively sound and good at bombing forward, the modern day Roberto Carlos was Mourinho's first choice left-back at Madrid between 2010 and 2013.
MD: Javier Zanetti, Wesley Sniedjer, Frank Lampard, Cristiano Ronaldo
The likes of Claude Makelele, Deco and Xabi Alonso will feel aggrieved to miss out but this midfield picks itself. Lampard was once named second bes footballer in the world under Mourinho's guidiance, Sneidjer was once third.
Cristiano Ronaldo has a Lionel Messi away from being outright best in the world while Zanetti was everything Mourinho wanted in a footballer.
ST: Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Didier Drogba
If this list was made a year ago, Drogba would probably not make the list but Zlatan has pushed his way into Mourinho's best XI after a series of Assuring performances this season.
Didier Drogba is simply the greatest forward to have played under Mourinho.
